1874
Dalum Papir factory is built on the River Odense. The first paper produced is packaging paper produced from unbleached flax. Production is 5-6000 pounds a day and the company has around 130 employees.
1875
The paper factory acquires the Maglemølle flour and groats mill on Zealand for paper production and changes its name to Maglemølle Papirfabrik. 5 paper machines are purchased in the period to 1907.
1876 The River Odense's water is not clean enough for paper production, and wells are bored. Flax is increasingly replaced by wood pulp as raw material.
1885
Dalum Papirfabrik acquires paper machine no. 2.
