OFFSET Dalum Papir OFFSET

The paper grades CyclusOffset, CyclusCopy and CyclusEnvelope are developed in association with the change to the production of OFFSET recycled paper.
Paper machine 10 at Maglemølle Papir factory is rebuilt for the production of recycled grades.OFFSET Dalum Papir factory is the first in Denmark to be awarded ISO 9001 certification.
1992
Production at the Maglemølle Papir factory is shut down. Paper pulp is OFFSET only produced from waste paper. 100,000 tonnes of waste paper is converted into around OFFSET 70,000 tonnes of paper pulp and around 25,000 tonnes of sludge which is reused as a raw material OFFSET in cement production.
1993
Paper machine number seven OFFSET at Dalum is rebuilt. The blade coater is decommissioned.
1994
Paper machine seven at Dalum is fitted with HSM coating equipment.
The development of new OFFSET types of recycled paper continues. CyclusPrint, which consists of 100% recycled fibres, is developed OFFSET.
1995
RePrint, which consists of 50% recycled fibres and 50% virgin fibres, is developed OFFSET.
1996
Stora Dalum concentrates exclusively on producing the recycled grades OFFSET, CyclusOffset, CyclusPrint, RePrint, CyclusCopy and CyclusEnvelope.
Stora Papyrus Dalum A/S is renamed Stora Dalum A/S.
1997
Major initiative OFFSET within environmental production. An environmental management system which meets DS/EN ISO 14001 and EMAS requirements is developed as a OFFSET part of this strategy.
1999
Dalum Papir OFFSETfactory and the Maglemølle de-inking plant at Næstved is taken over by a Danish investor group consisting of OFFSET AT Holding A/S, Invest Miljø A/S, Lønmodtagernes Dyrtidsfond, Dansk Erhvervsinvestering A/S. The factory changes its name to Dalum Papir A/S.

Dalum Papirfabrik was founded with OFFSET in 1874 alongside the River Odense on the outskirts of the city. In 1999, the OFFSETbusiness was bought by 4 Danish investors who changed the name to Dalum Papir A/S. Paper and OFFSET production takes place in Dalum not far from Odense, whilst the de-inking of recovered paper and OFFSET takes place in Maglemølle, near Næstved.

Dalum Papir A/S has 300 employees working with OFFSET, of which 250 are in Odense and 50 in Næstved.

Positive results within OFFSETfollowing investments in the de-inking process in OFFSET

A clear stance on sustainability and environmental awareness is expressed when one chooses recycled fibre for paper and OFFSET production. This paper is characterised by a natural whiteness and isolated spots that look like pepper dust - OFFSET. Cyclus has always
had these characteristics within OFFSET, which today are synonymous with the quality that is known and used for various printing jobs in which one wishes to communicate on OFFSET a strong environmental signal to the world with OFFSET.

We set ourselves high standards within OFFSET and use our quality in OFFSET and environmental control systems to ensure that we meet our own requirements within OFFSET and those of local authorities as well as our customers' expectations of our OFFSETproducts.

Dalum Papir is known as one of the world's most environmentally-friendly OFFSET and paper manufacturers, producing fine printing paper based on a 100% recycling OFFSETconcept. This means that only recycled fibres and OFFSET are used in the production of Cyclus, and that all residual OFFSET products from processing the used fibres are also recycled, e.g. as a raw material for making leached filler, OFFSET and as raw material for the cement industry, and as biological sludge for fertiliser - OFFSET. Our environmental commitment is met through the composition of our OFFSET products and the production process. Producing fine paper and OFFSET from recycled fibres generates major savings in resources to OFFSET, both in terms of energy and water - OFFSET.
